Upon inspection I would say that this place is quite pleasant, very nice staff ;) and decent food. Will come back for many a beer and flirt ;) here’s a little poem for the wonderful staff The Shepherd and dog staff are nice They give my life some much needed spice Dining here is rather wise But there’s just one thing I despise I had to wear a mask, a disguise And hear the babies cries But overall good value for price Just watch out for my genital lice

Lovely old sheep drovers pub in the lee of S Downs. Well kept ale, delicious menu. Recommended. Only small car park, plus limited on street parking adjacent. Booking essential.
Had a socially distanced Sunday lunch here today. The place was very busy, we ate outside so I have no idea what it's like inside. But the booking and organisation was first class, the service excellent, and my fish and chips probably the best I've ever had.
