Stiking and unique design of a memorial.

Very moving to spend a few moments remembering our war heroes.
Great War Memorial, it's absolutely fantastic, all the work that has gone into it is amazing.
Built in 1925 to commemorate the losses is Sheffield from the First World War, the 27 metre tall cenotaph is a Grade II listed structure. Originally in a traffic island, the memorial became the centre of a large pedestrianised square in 1989 when Barker's Pool was closed to traffic. Subsequent renovations have won awards. Every year, there is a large parade of all the military units in the city on Remembrance weekend.
The venue in the town centre is lovely and we'll worth visiting.
