Service was exceptionally poor, driver was rude, didn't accept my plusbus ticket despite being part of the scheme, didn't pick up the phone and didn't reply to my email about the subject.

I struggle to comprehend how a shorter journey can cost more than a longer journey on the same bus?! Because the shorter journey only crosses boundaries once and the longer journey does it twice, effectively leaving the county then returning in the same trip. But seriously, it's nuts

I'm all for supporting bus travel and I use the 218 occasionally, without trouble. However, they could seriously do with getting card payments accepted, as there has been a number of times I've avoided the TM buses because they still only accept cash. No one under the age of 30 wants to pay in cash. It's inconvenient.

Very disappointing experience with TM Travel on Monday 18th November. Having been encouraged by Chatsworth House website to us the bus service rather than cars due to the flooding, we used Service 218 from Bakewell. The return bus should have left Chatsworth at three minutes to the hour. At twenty minutes to three we joined the queue to wait. The 2.57 pm bus did not appear. The queue included elderley people, and a couple with a newborn baby. The temperature was near to freezing. As time progressed and we all got colder, several people in the queue rang TM Travel to find out when the bus would arrive. We were told the tracking service was down and there was no way to find out where the bus was and maybe it was stuck in congestion. The 3.57 pm bus did not turn up either and we were all worried for the baby and those who were struggling with the cold. Further calls gave us no other useful information. If we had had some sort of information we could have made other arrangements, ie taxis etc, but people were being told that a bus should turn up imminently. A bus eventually arrived at around half past four. When we rang today to complain, the lady was quite abrupt - no apology - just that the tracking was down and that their information was that the bus was 45 minutes late due to congestion. Her only further excuse was that the driver had to take a break. We were trying to say that if we had had any information it would have made a difference, but she was not helpful. When we then intimated that we would contact the media she just interrupted and then put the phone down. Disgusting customer service.
