Relatively quiet today, enjoyed watching the gardeners redesigning the rocks in the waterfall and pond. Always enjoyed watching others graft. The outcome was worth the effort.

This is a beautiful and well cared for botanical garden, you can spend some lovely relaxing time here. Great for picnics. Highlights include the glass pavilion, rose garden and a personal favourite is the summer planting especially the dahlias. It is not as big or has as much variety as botanical gardens in other UK cities - however it is free! And therefore open to everyone to enjoy. It is wheelchair accessible from the Thompson Rd entrance. Lovely little cafe and small toy shop onsite. The squirrels are very friendly!
Beautiful park full of different trees/ plants- all with name tags on. Cafe was popular. Toilets were closed when we were there ( possibly due to Covid closures?) Payable parking on nearby streets.
The Botanical Gardens is one of Sheffield’s great outdoor spaces. This is a lovely area to walk around all year round and is often host to different cultural events. With plenty of benches and greenery the gardens are ideal for lunch breaks or those who just want a casual stroll.
A place of pure joy particularly in warmer and sunny weather. The place is arranged aesthetically to show off its eclectic plants and flowers. Come and sit yourself on one of its many seats or grass and enjoy the scenery.
