amazing place and great location. very informative and an interactive way of learning for the kids. best time to visit would be December to march to witness also hundreds of migrating birds that flocks in the vast greens of the place.

The Sharjah Academy For Astronomy, Space Sciences and Technology was established in May 2015 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah. SAASST aims to develop, promote, and contribute to education in astronomy and space sciences in the world in general, and the UAE in particular. It is a destination for science, research, culture, and education.

A hidden gem less than an hour drive from down town Dubai.... for a family that is all geeky about space this place was a perfect way to spend an afternoon.... The building represents the sun and the open green fields around it have huge planet sculptures in orbit around the sun The first floor had a section about the scientific miracles of Quran and space with beautiful illustrations and Quran scriptures The second floor had the dome in which a show is held twice a day I think illustrating the real night sky of Sharjah followed by a trip in the cosmos.... Note to visitors: bring cash and snacks and water...there are no shops in the area

awesome place to be with Kids and friends families. very cooperative staffs, and very good detail explanation on the shows. Lucky to be on the holidays where there was minimal crowd and enjoyed their shows. Its open from 4-pm on Saturdays and check their website for the shows and other information's. aed 22 for adult and 11 for the kids, below four years is free and they might be allowing your young one inside the shows if they can keep quiet without disturbing others. very kind staffs. felt great with their facilities.
