Really enjoyed our first experience at Shant! The waiter Prash was really friendly and attentive. The food was so tasty and really good value for money. Portion sizes were perfect and we stupidly forgot to order our rice, which was resolved within minutes. We will definitely be returning and they are also doing the eat out to help out scheme so all food is half price! I 100% recommended :)
Service was awful. Food was brilliant. We were served poor quality beer (end of barrel), waited half an hour before drinks were served and then another half an hour before my drink was replaced, asked the young male waiter for multiple things during the meal (drinks, food, bill, card machine) and it was forgotten every time. Saving grace was the good quality food but isn't enough to encourage me back.
Price did seem a bit high, but went because I was recommended. Not disappointed, the portion sizes more than made up for the price. And the food tasted really good too.
Top quality Indian restaurant. Not your usual place selling variations on the same basic gravy. Beer in great nick as well.
