Shahi Qila Taste Of Lahore

Really enjoyed the food. We shared a mixed grill which wasnt too spicy apart from the chicken kebab. We had the lamb and aloo balti which we had mild. Some restaurants when I've asked for mild in the past the food has either been still too spicy for me or so bland I have to ask for extra side sauces to be able to eat it. The meat and aloo was cooked perfectly, mild but not bland.We really wasnt expecting much but, were very happy customer's.

They don't take card payments which makes it quite an inconvenience. I didn't have cash so had go few doors down and pay for taking out money from the cash machine (which I wasn't very happy about because of religious reasons), its 2020 they should accept card payments!!! Food was very nice but portions for balti was really less and they don't give hot plates before food comes! (I have updated my review of 5 to 3 stars. Five stars I had given the first time I went but because of inconsistencies of the service the few times I have gone after I have unfortunately decided to lessen the ratings).

Taste of Lahore is the place to be for tasty, affordable and great service. I come there regularly and the staff are very nice. 2 young gentleman always have great service bronsan and nijel Excellent restaurant definitely worth going there

Fantastic food. The quality of the food was very good. Naan bread didn't have too much butter on it, boiled rice had a lovely garnish of coriander which gave them a nice little twist of flavour. I ordered the achari chicken as medium spiced and due to the achaar (pickle) I feel mild wod be fine. The achari chicken was very tasty just the right amount of achaar which meant you actually had lots of chicken too. Also they play nasheeds and not songs.
