A wonderfully fun afternoon messing about on the river in one of the boats from Severn Expeditions. Tim is a very warm and personable chap and passionate about you enjoying your experience. Would definitely recommend and will use again for future visits to Malvern. Just book early as they get very busy and the boat we wanted was already booked out.

We hired the \Floki\ boat 4 person boat (family of 4 - 2 adults/2 children). From the initial first contact by telephone to make an enquiry, Karen and Tim were super friendly and welcoming. The website was professional looking and I found most of the information I needed on it. Once booked and paid for over the phone, I received a comprehensive email with all the safety information regarding boat hire as well as the Covid-19 regulations. Once at the Marina the signage on the floor and on sign posts made it easy to find Tim's floating workshop. Simple but effective safety brief, adults were issued with life jackets and children pfd's. The boat was immaculate as it (& the safety gear) had been fully sanitised since the previous clients. (We knew this as we'd turned up a little early to get our bearings and as we were having a walk around the Marina had observed it being cleaned ) Tim gave us a S.D. brief on how to manoeuvre and the river ules of the road\, loaded our picnic and we were off! We had a beautiful afternoon pottering up and down the river observing the wildlife and the other river users and generally just relaxing - we were even laughing after experiencing a heavy sudden downpour! The boat was super easy to control, the children (aged 11 & 8) had a go at helming and managed easily. Highly recommended for a family trip out. Great fun have a go ! Would have got 5 stars if you hadn't kept me hanging around waiting for replys from my emails or waiting for booking forms. On the day the chap couldn't be more friendly so enjoyed it but lack of communication nearly led us to do something else. The only other thing is that when your out on the river you do feel like a tourist, your the only people wearing life jackets and your the smallest vessel on the seven by far, not that size should be an issue LOL!
