A hidden oasis. For a long time we’d driven past this place unknowingly. It’s a great place to come for a walk round the lake. It’s geared up for people to come fishing with fishing stations dotted all round the lake. But a nice quiet spot to come walking. The kids loved it, they saw fish, swan and coots plus horses. There were plenty of Blackberries to pick while we were there also. There is a very small and basic play area for the kids plus a bug Hotel for them to explore.

Lovely nature reserve, look out huts available for bird watching ( closed at the moment due to covid) no dogs allows anywhere in the reserve. Nature area for young children.

We enjoyed a walk around the lake last week. My 2 year old loved it and loved popping in to all the viewing nooks around the lake to spot swan, ducks etc. Parking was easy when we arrived about 11.30 on a Sunday but there didn't look to be any spaces as we were leaving. There are quite a few picnic tables and a small climbing frame. There is also a cafe/toilets but I'm not sure if these are currently open

Beautiful lakes with several trails and walks of different lengths to the various bird watching hides around the lakes or simply around the lakes themselves. Perfect for a picnic or just a stroll. Such a relaxing place. Parking is free and the Wildlife Trust run a small but very informative visitor centre and toilets. Great for very little ones to explore the nature playground and various bug hotels. No cycling allowed.
