A man walked into a restaurant and said “WTF” or words to that affect. You certainly will when you enter the Brisket and Barrel. It is different take on a smokehouse concept that is trying to find its way forwards. The staff will tell you it’s still in experimental mode, its website will corroborate that thought. What the staff won’t tell you is what the standout dishes are, because they are often changed. I recommend taking a look on google to get an idea of the weird and wonderful dishes that brisket and Barrel serves. I went for a mix of French roasted garlic with baguette and a good old piece of brisket with all the sides for a main. Food was prepared well, but nothing to excite. The staff are brilliant, warm, chatty, polite, with a strong French accent. Price wise the food is excellent and it’s conveniently located a stone’s throw from the Bat and Ball station. Brisket and Barrel has serious potential. I’m looking forward to seeing it when it finds it feet.

I adore this spot! They provide sensational meals, their menu is rich, The chief cook in that spot is a professional, I like a lot trying all their dishes. The dishes are consistently fresh, the attitude towards the customers is agreeable. I often go to this restaurant and I was never disappointed. I recommend this place.
