I visited seven for the first time last night. Soon as I entered I was very impressed with the decor and modern feel. The bar area was very nice. Unfortunately the service did not match. I went over to the bar, asked for couple of drinks he said please take a seat (assuming they did not want people at the bar due to pandemic). 25 mins later... no drinks.. in fact the people who remained at the bar were getting their drinks frist. A hen party ordered 10 cocktails, after us, and they still got served first. I spoke to the manager who put drinks on the house but then we ended up with two lots! Which is cool. The hen party was consisted of 10 ladies. What happened to the max 6 people???

This restaurant gets a rare 5 Stars from me! This was my first visit to Derby and I had researched restaurants in advance. Reviews of Seven were all excellent and as it was close to where we were staying we made a reservation. Nothing disappointed. We had a warm, friendly welcome and Covid-19 requirements were pretty much in place. The restaurant was busy. Our server, Joel, was excellent and made some recommendations. We had a sharing platter as a starter and it was really good. We then both went for fish dishes (different ones). These were really tasty. All in all a great night.
Absolutely love Seven; the staff, food and ambience are amazing. We have been a number of times and every time, our waiter/s have been so friendly, jokey and interested in us, as a group; it has made our experience so much more enjoyable. You are made to feel so welcome and special, I just love it! Thank you!
