Terrible! , nobody answers the phone or reply to emails. If you go to the office they will tell you to send an email or call making you're trip a total waste of time. This is probably the worst government organ in Portugal.
I exchanged my United States driver’s license this morning. Although the wait was probably an hour and a half, the person who helped me was very patient and kind and explained everything well. It was also very helpful to have someone at the entrance (I arrived before they opened), who quickly selected the correct category/ticket for me. She was actually helping everyone when they initially opened.
The Staff was very friendly very calm & cooperative and good in speaking English. I hope to get my DL in short time. You can download app “Siga” to get the token “T” in advance for avoid the long que , this procedure only apply for exchange your country driving license.
7/8 years ago I would have said less than one star but last year the service was drastically better and this last visit was also a good testament to the staff's efforts, especially the ladies serving at desks 1&5 many thanks. The government should give them funding to improve the comfort of the office. For people bringing vehicles to Portugal, its a very complicated affaire but to benefit from free import duty the main element is that you have owned the vehicle for at least Six months prior to your arrival in Portugal. You must also have proof of your address covering the same time period. Then there are several other easier documents required.
Great service, fairly fast, friendly people, greeted with a smile and even had a few laughs over bureaucratic nonsense. Nice little cafe right next door for a quick snack while I waited for my turn.
I went today.. the service was fantastic and so fast I can’t believe..all the employee working with smiling face that as increadible.. best service I have ever got in Portugal .. thank you IMT Setúbal ️
Serviço vergonhoso, tinha agendamento marcado e recusaram-se a receber-me. Não fazem o serviço que têm a fazer, neste caso era um simples pedido que demorava 5 minutos a concluir. Já é assim há muito tempo mas atualmente desculpam-se com a pandemia. Prejudica os utentes. O próprio livro de reclamações está cheio, já é o quarto só este ano. Fechem a porta.
