Matthew Brooker

An unusual mix of basic groceries, fuel and DIY/ smallholding supplies, but it works. You need to pay a fee to the cooperative to get the best deals (especially on fuel), but prices are reasonable, plenty of local produce and the DIY stuff saves a trip further afield. Staff helpful, if occasionally overstretched. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is their fresh bread offering could be broader.

Small but surprisingly well stocked and cheap!
