If the people of Hyderabad want to know what kolkata biriyani is like then they should order from Rannaghar. The rice is so aromatic and full of flavor. Chicken pieces are cooked well and I loved how they were slightly roasted at the sides. Quantity is more than sufficient for one person and with the boiled potatoes and eggs, I don’t think anyone would be left unsatisfied. Special mention: Raita!! (I have never tasted a more interesting version of the simple raita anywhere else). Mutton chaanp was rich in spice and flavor. One suggestion is to let the mutton cook for longer so that the pieces fall off the bone and is almost melting with the curry. Overall a very delightful experience and I will be back to try out more of your dishes.

Food from this place is horrible!! I usually never ever give such bad rating to any outlet, but the food we ordered today from this place was just horrible. One of the reasons could be the cooks could be from Bengal and they add that bengali touch to just about everything that they cook here - even if it is Chinese Fried Rice. Please stay away from this place if you have a specific mindset about food. I believe if you are from Kolkatta, you may like the food. But some bengalis also have rated this place one star.
