Well what a find! Wanted authentic Japanese cuisine and this small upstairs restaurant satisfied on all counts. No English spoken but pictures of a meal recently reviewed had the chef nodding positively. One other local patron was dining also. Very reasonably priced.

本町のこの通り(古くは家具のメとかがある通り) にあって、38年間ずっと営業を続けられたお店です。ランチがメインで、安さを特徴に我々の心を掴んで来られました。料理も美味しいです。ですので、周りのお店が淘汰されていく中で残っています。仙台を離れて久々に、夜に、訪問しました。相棒の女将さんが亡くなられたとの事で、尚更往時が懐かしく思われます。一品料理も相変わらずにギリ美味しく頂きました。ビールがキンキンで無くても、焼酎水割りが水道水で氷無しでも、味福はそれで良いのです。大将また行きます！いつまでもお元気でね！！
