Went to buy a pump recently. Had looked online and at other retailers before going to sks. The pump I was after was marked up at least 50 more than everybody else. They were offering to lower by 25 but even then it was more expensive. Disappointing to say the least and makes supporting local businesses hard when they cannot even be competitive to other dealers or shops. The shop assistant did not fill me with confidence either. They had no understanding about the capabilities of the pumps they sold. They had no understanding of impeller design and how they can aid anti blockage. It took myself to show the person and look at one I wished to purchase to explain to him. Overall a poor experience and has made me reconsider who i now use to buy my koi pond supplies. Such a shame. Had great experiences here before with another sales person and willing to match prices or better them.
