UW Tower is a great place to work if you are good at working with people. Sometimes you have to calm patients over the phone, so phone educate is a must, while still being polite and reassuring. The Department you work for makes a Huge difference in how well you preform at work. Radiology was wonderful, but not so much elsewhere in other departments, happy, ethical, and moral coworkers make all the difference. Professionalism in the work place is a must, which is easy, at least for me. Continuing education and improvement for staff could improve with a more pleasant motivational structure. Reviews and meetings about what positive attributes you bring as an employee, and positive reinforcement on ways to improve as a team member, and employee. Probationary Separation to avoid efforts to improve staff production should be more than giving up on someone, an employee who has so much to offer! Finding honest, loyal, and dedicated employees is a rarity these days. You should love your job! Radiology department has 5 stars! That team made work feel like a team, and cared like a family! I miss working with that team, others have flaws to improve upon. One toxic Person can damage an entire Department. I don't miss being around that at all. The criticisms and negatively eats a person up inside. Don't be that person, BE BETTER.
