Customer service is essentially non-existent. Forget trying to reach them on the phone, or, email. Sometime ago, I in the spirit of supporting a local independent news paper subscribed for online access, it was a disaster! Kept getting the news links, but as soon as I got the article, a page demanding I subscribe popped up! Went to their web page, same thing! The strange thing is that when I went and clicked \My Account\ it showed me logged on! Eventually I have to go to their office and cancel my subscription. I think if an organization is operating as poorly they are, maybe its time for them to hang up the hat! Very sad.

I enjoyed the paper but when trying to cancel, the disrespectful representative would not cancel my subscription. I had to file a complaint with my credit card. If you’re not going to stop the subscription you’ll be OK. Otherwise it’s a huge hassle. I won’t re-subscribe.

I believe local newspapers are very important to keep the community focused on local issues.

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. The pay wall is bad- the fact that I have tried FOUR times to unsubscribe and yet I keep getting billed is close to being a scam. I'm extremely disappointed. The reporting is alright but the tactics used to keep people paying for news they no longer want is abysmal. I don't recommend this news source at all- not if the Seattle Times keeps trapping people in subscriptions.
