The fish and chips were soggy, and tasted stale, as if they were laying in the fryer. When I was there, I heard the female assistant ask a customer to give them a 5 star Google review. They are only friendly to regulars, but if you are a new face they will give you the dregs. I suspect that the 5 star reviews are all known locals that they have asked to comment positively. My meal was almost inedible and most was thrown away...Avoid if you are a first time customer.

The best fish and chip shop in the local area. Very fresh and always found to be of really good quality. You can't beat a large cod and chips.
Lovely fish ‘n chips shop. Chips and fish are always fresh and the oil is clearly changed regularly. The staff and wonderful and cheerful; always met with a genuine smile! Good prices and clean restaurant with sit-in facilities.
Very good fish very polite people.
