This ferry terminal is run by Northlink ferries. The trip to Stromness is 1hour and a half. There are two different ways to get on to the ferry but it depends if you have a car. The ferry is called the Hamnavoe. I do wish that here or gills bay have a trip to Shetland otherwise if you want to go via ferry there are two ways to get there. Take the ferry to Stromness then take the X1 bus to hatston bus garage. Then either walk or take a taxi to the Northlink ferry terminal. But I don't know what are the times at the moment. And here is the second way to get to Shetland drive to Aberdeen ferry terminal and take the Lerwick ferry.

Wonderful staff, everyone I spoke too really friendly and helpful.
Cheerful and helpful staff. Is the cafe ever open? Perhaps when there is lots of thirsty / hungry passengers waiting for the ferry might be a idea?
