My first visit to Dr. Roberts was a bit confusing but luckily I brought a friend with me that was visiting from the east coast. After my examination, bloodwork I met with Dr. Roberts. My first impression was that Dr. Roberts was not the Dr that I wanted to care for me. After a few more minutes he absolutely won me over. He is straight forward and very honest. Apparently he has what was explained to me as a eastern type personality. Meaning, do you want the truth as to what we're dealing with or sugarcoat it. I absolutely love him. I also adore his Assistant Kylie, I feel just as comfortable with her as I do with Dr. Robert's. Between the two of them you will walk out of the office feeling secure that you are receiving the best of care. Let me not forget Jessica, Dr Roberts scheduler.. she is so pleasant and will always take time with you to make sure she is scheduling a time that is convenient for you. Lastly, the front desk staff..always a smile on their face. They make a difficult time in my life Easier.

We really like the doctor. He ordered a PET scan and told us that Jessica Hernandez (scheduler) would call us once she had the insurance approval and the scan scheduled. That was two weeks ago. I received the authorization in the mail one week ago. Since then I have been calling his office to get the scan scheduled. Every time I call I get a voice mail that says if you call before 3 pm, they will return your call the same day. NOT TRUE!! I have called on four different occasions and each time ... they did NOT return my calls. I have even contacted the VA.... he called after he faxed the authorization.... he also had to leave a voicemail. My husbands appointment with Dr Roberts is next Wednesday..... and we probably will not have the PET scan by then!!! Update: of course we did NOT have the PET scan by my husbands Wednesday appointment. At the time of this visit, we had the PET scheduled for 2/19/2020... and had to make another office appointment for the results of the scan... finally have a plan of care. Get port and come back next Wednesday 3/4/2020 (they did not give us a time)... Port placed on Friday 2/28/2020. I called today 3/2/2020 for a time for his first chemo infusion on 3/4/2020... Had to leave a message..Called at 9:13 am.... message left on Devons line.... let’s see if he will return my call before close of business day.... some of the office staff are very friendly and helpful.... but others, googling clothes, makeup etc.... I would suggest that Dr. Roberts and partners consider more education to the staff on customer service and assure that the staff are doing what they are paid to do and not do personal calls/FB and google during work hours.... on a positive note: Dr Roberts is a very well educated oncologist in his specialty... I would highly recommend him for oncology needs... multiple years of experience...

Honestly I have no words but to say I have never felt so dismissed from a dr before. If you are looking for compassionate, understanding and willing to uncover issues ... seek another provider. I tried to do the right thing and ended up in the hospital with DVT and PE, was told I could have died if I waited. When drs dismiss you, you dont feel like anyone will listen and that you're bothering them. That is how he makes me feel like I am bothering him.
