I came from out of town and was staying at one of the local hotels. The smells coming from Scott's were amazing. They drew me in. The lady at the register was nice and helpful. I asked her what I should order and she recommended the Tailspin Smoked Meat Plate choose 2 with Burnt Ends. She said this would be a very big meal for one person. I chose the cheesy potatoes and beans as my sides and a bottled sprite for a drink. The total was a little pricey (18.80) but I figured for a big meal and it smelled so good, I would go for it. I should have opened my \to go meal\ there and looked at it. Maybe I would give a 5 if they had made things better. First, it was tasty. All of it. They included 2 sauces, sweet and spicy. They were good. The very, very disappointing part was the portion size. 18.80 got me 10 little cubes of meet, 2 three ounce sides, and a sprite. That was very underwhelming. Pic attached.

Folks, this is some of the best BBQ in the city without a DOUBT. The side dishes are equally as impressive. Burnt ends are how they should be. Marbled perfectly with fat, soft and extremely tender. Beautiful bark with a wonderful taste, you can tell his foods are made with you in mind. Extremely nice man too, came by and greeted us and had a nice convo. First time here today, and I can’t wait to tell those at work who don’t know. We often have clients in from all over and it’s always BBQ. Having Scott’s Kitchen next time will certainly leave a lasting impression of KC on them. Again, I can’t express enough how great this food is.

This place is phenomenal with customer service and they're overall welcoming. I personally don’t like BBQ type of food, but I went here while I waited for my flight and they proved me with amazing service till I found something I enjoyed. The presentation of the food was amazing and I now recommend them to everyone even tho I don’t eat this type of cuisine .

We had take out - the Summer's End Feast 2 Slabs of Ribs 3/4 Pound of Smoked Brisket 3/4 Pound of Smoked Burnt Ends 3/4 Pound of Pulled Pork 3/4 Pound of Housemade Chipotle Ghost Pepperjack Sausage 1 Pint of BBQ Beans 1 Pint of Cheesy Potatoes 1 Pint of Jalapeño Apple Slaw 1 Pint of Pickle & Egg Potato Salad 1 Squeeze Bottle of Sweet BBQ Sauce 1 Squeeze Bottle of Spicy BBQ Sauce Container of Dill Pickles Ribs are the highlight of the meal. Burnt ends and pulled pork were on the dry size. The sides were all great. I go for the spicy sauce.

Was looking for a quick but good bite on the way to the airport. Found that, but also found one of the best barbeque places I've ever been to. I won't go through Kansas City again without stopping at Scott's! Small cafe feel but meats that will rival anyone... for real
