I celebrated my nomination last night in this excellent restaurant. happy to tell that we had a tremendous evening and the place was certainly one of the reasons for this outstanding event. The stuff helped in a very nice manner, the cooking was very good and my buddies were very glad. We shall surely visit again for more joyful events. thanks very much.

With a name very similar to my own, Scarantino's cannot help but be wonderful! I have been coming here for 40 years and the food is always top notch, the service friendly and impeccable, the ambiance casual and cozy (red checkered tablecloths and all), and the prices very reasonable ... HOOAH! I do not get back to Glendale as often as I would like, but when I do, you can find me at Scarantino's at least once. Their minestrone soup is the best I have ever had and the accompanying bread is always hot and fresh. Their pizzas and pastas are all very good, but it's the veal dishes that bring me back over and over and over again. The Veal Parmigiana (17) is delish, but I usually end up ordering the Veal Rolletini alla Sorrento (21.00), thinly sliced veal rolled and stuffed with Italian ham and mozzarella cheese, then simmered in a wine and mushroom sauce ... YUMMM! Paying 17-21 for a veal dish along with minestrone soup, salad, bread and butter, and pasta is a terrific value, especially when the quality is as good as you get here. I celebrated my birthday last night in this gorgeous place. I am glad to say that we enjoyed a sensational evening and the restaurant was absolutely the reason for that strong meeting. The waiters helped in a sweet style, the meals were tasty and my friends were extremely overjoyed. We shall no dout come back again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.
I have not been here in at least 4 years, since I now live 30 miles away. Used to go here 2-4x a month. Still as good as before. I ordered the combo and it was a lot of food for a glutton/epicure like me. Excellent chicken marsala and beef ravioli. You can the taste the sweetness of the marsala wine. I'd like to go back soon.
I moved to Glendale last year from Chicago, where I grew up working in my family's Italian restaurant. Good, authentic, family owned Italian places are hard to come by in Southern California, unlike back in Chicago or New York where they can be easily stumbled upon. This is why I was really excited to try Scarantino's and as soon as I walked in I knew I found an Italian place that would make me feel back at home. The decor, the family vibe, and the food is all as authentic as expected. Everything we had was great, from the chicken parmigiana to the tartufo. I can't wait to go back and will definitely be bringing my family when they come visit!
