Their hours say they close at 5 pm, but really it should say 4 pm. I drove 30 minutes to get there today, walked in at 4:05, and was told that I couldn't get in line because I might still be there after 5 pm. If that's how they operate I guess I understand, but they should advertise that so they're not wasting mine and others time. God forbid they have to stay a little later than 5!!!!

I contacted DHEC today regarding a food complaint against Bojangles. The meat in the chicken filet sandwich was raw and pink. The DHEC representative informed me that due to covid restrictions, they have not been performing in person checks as they normally would. I find this unacceptable, and am concerned that people are being put at risk as a result.

SC DHEC makes it a huge pain if you're transgender and trying to make changes on your birth certificate. I had a court order from 2016 allowing me to legally change my name on my SC birth certificate, as well as have it indicate on the certificate that I was born one gender and have legally changed it. I had done everything by the book. After sending all the info they requested to obtain a new birth certificate with these changes, they rejected it the first time asking for more info. Each time they would ask for some new document they hadn't before as well as a filing fee. On one of these instances, they asked for a document I had already sent. It was back and forth like this three times. And then waiting, and waiting ... So I called them after this to check on the status of things. The woman on the phone told me it was at the desk of Russell Sanders, who was working on it, and it had been approved, so I just needed to wait for it to get done and they'd send it to me. Then she proceeded to ask me really personal questions about my gender transition. Not for any reason for the legal changes, just out of curiosity. I understand someone being unfamiliar, but out of professionalism, this is not appropriate. It still was a long time after that phone call. I actually had to have the lawyer who had represented me for my gender change call them because it was taking so long. At that point they asked for what I believe was the fourth filing fee, and THEN I got my birth certificate in the mail. I initially sent in the request to them the first time in October of 2016, and it wasn't until around April or May of 2017 that I finally got it.
