Excellent service, really friendly staff. Good selection on menu. Hand sanitiser at doors and track and trace method in use. Pub was very clean, Food was lovely ( had the sweet-potato and chickpea curry) and good selection of drinks. Will definitely return when come down this wy again.

Really welcoming and dog friendly pub. It was all absolutely fabulous, and the only reason I had to give 4 rather than 5 stars in they only had one vegan option on the menu currently. Which is completely understandable at the moment, but disappointing when it wasn't the one I was hoping for after looking at their menu online. Good distancing and covid safety and really professional and pleasant staff. The food was really tasty and we hope to return one day when the full menu is available. Thank you Saxon Arms.
Honestly can’t fault this place! 4 of us came for dinner during our week’s holiday and it was the best place we ate at the whole time we were away! Service was brilliant and super friendly, meal options were all fantastic and we all enjoyed what we’d ordered. My steak was so flavoursome and cooked really well. Desserts were yummy. And really well priced too. We sat inside which was a lovely, homely, atmosphere - and staff were really welcoming and accommodating of our dog. Outside there was a bit more bustle between locals. Just a great experience all round. We will return next time we’re in Dorset. Thanks guys!
Relaxed country pub with \meal deals\ during the week. Staff friendly. Spacious inside, beer garden, parking. Food has improved since a different chef arrived. Would recommend any time.
