10 piece fish and chips special on Good Friday for 34.99. Really tasty huge pieces of lightly battered fish, chips, tartar sauce and lemon wedges. Fish came in a separate large pizza box not piled up and separate boxes for chips. Don’t know if they will be offering this special again but our son commented he will be telling his buddies to choose this over pizza.

Good place to grab a bite. Had the Scholar skirt burger with fries and gravy. Lots of fries and enough gravy for them. The burger was really filling. The service was fine. We went around 130pm and it was quiet. Got menus quickly and drinks were refilled.
THEE hands down best food in the city. The crispy Buffalo chicken burger absolutely bangs, it's my favorite food in all the world. I have now got my entire family converted and it's no longer a discussion on where we should go out for supper, we're going to the scholar

I really liked this place, close to home and great service. Until today when my money got stolen from a VLT. The Manger guy sitting at tha side bar says: "there's nuthin we can do about it" 3 times! They completely disregarded me n made me feel like a piece of trash. Idk if I was being judged by my apperance(a black woman). I worked in tha service industry for 9 years, many of friends still do and are managers. I'm a great customer and a good tipper. So now over 11.75 ya lost me and everyone I know as customers.
Great vibe! They have a great and extensive drink list, had the Scooby Snack. The poutine list is also great!
Ordered the Duck Tacos and Truffle fries. Worst food I have ever ordered in my life! Never had ordered from there ever before! So, first time! The food went straight to the garbage! Everything was cold when it got to my place. I live a 5 minute drive from the Thirsty Scholar and the Skip the Dishes courier was really quick actually, so there are no reasons why everything would be this cold. It's like they used the left overs from last night. All the fries were rock hard, and the duck tasted weird. Never ordering from there again! Never ever! It cost me 52 (that includes my husband's order which he did not enjoy either). Worst waste of money ever! I would give you 0 star, but apparently the lowest I can go is 1 star! And I was trying to encourage local considerig the times!
Thirsty scholar is pretty awesome nice layout good old fashioned look to it Has pool golf big buck hunt And the waitresses and bartenders are super awesome and friendly
