We needed to redesign the wing of a building built in 1922 to serve our needs as a new home for a small school - requiring administrative offices, faculty offices, a classrooom, and a common room. Lucienne and her team provided us with good plans and furniture ideas. Best of all, she oversaw the whole project, dealing effectively with the contractor and all other involved parties. Used Luminary to design plans. Although their concepts and designs were great, billing was no were near what was agreed upon. We were informed that they wanted to show a deviation on our plans. Upon discussion it was decided that they'd spend a couple hours coming up with this alternative proposal. In the end they billed us over 8 hours of work on a project that was only meant to be a couple hours. When they bill per hour more than lawyers, 6 hours over budget adds up. I'd recommend them but be aware than any work done will be 4 times more than quoted. Be aware!!!!

Lucienne has done several design jobs for our home and cabin. We start with a meeting to discuss our ideas. I have a few ideas, my wife has a few ideas, and we both have a long list of concerns. After Lucienne has done her design “magic”, we are both consistently surprised to see that both our ideas are accounted for and all of our concerns are addressed. On one occasion, we discussed plans for our basement and a casual suggestion created a much more usable area when very little space was available. A good set of plans allow our project to progress much faster and without as many costly changes/interruptions. Luminary Design is our answer to solving our design problems. I didn’t know my designs were rough until Lucienne started showing us her sketches and designs. Money spent on this early phase of the project is money well spent. Lucienne can move/add/remove a wall on paper for pennies before it becomes a very expensive design error.
Lucienne is amazing! After struggling with a bathroom design she came up with the perfect solution after just a short conversation. I wish I had discovered her expertise and passion a long time ago. I have done several renovations and never thought of using a designer vs doing everything myself. Lucienne has taught me that using a professional to do the design work and project management makes it so much easier and the result is 10X better. I can tell that Lucienne and her team love what they do and they do it extremely well. I would recommend her services to anyone!
Lucienne from Luminary did a fabulous job with the design of our kitchen and home renovation. This project had a lot of challenges, as we were adding on to an existing older home. Lucienne helped the contractor with the interior and exterior construction design, she was able to include all of my ideas and give me great new ones for colour and design. We are overjoyed with the end result of our project and will be using her expertise in future projects.
