The food could have definitely been better. Ordered fried fish and no taste of seasoning in that fish, simply tasted salt. No pikliz so i had to eat some of the fish with hot sauce since i didnt want to throw it out.. Definitely need to be upfront with customers if you don't have something. I ask for fried plantains and got sweet plaintains, so disappointing. I had to ask why I got sweet plantains and I didn't like the response I got. The rice was ok though but other than that if you know good food, you'll also know when something doesn't taste right.

I don’t care what anybody says, this place is nasty. I am literally writing the review right in the parking lot. The meat taste sooooo old. I ate a few a few pieces and i think i need a detox. Plantains are frozen nasty ones. 13 for just turkey and some plantain. I just threw 13 away. I am disgusted. Never again!

Drove to there from Siesta and I have to tell you it was worth it. It’s no longer Lakay, it’s Sunshine Caribbean. I ordered fish and griyo plate, fish took a little longer but I was warned as I was making the order. Everything was very Haitian, as in delicious. To top everything off, the customer service was superb, you know how island business has a bad rep for lousy customer service. The food was delicious and great customer service. Win win!!
