I have been going to Charlie's on and off for 25 years they have a very good filly cheese steak the bread day use is wonderful. Service has always been good and the price has always been right. I love Charlie's it is a Sarasota favor

I ordered a Philly special that the menu says is served with fries and a fountain drink. The man who took my order was upfront with me and warned me he did not have fries. After realizing I had paid full price I asked if I could pay the 0.55 difference and get grits and was told they would be charged full price. After declining I was handed the sandwich pictured (ordered without mushrooms and served in a brown paper bag with napkins) and told to have a good day. I was not offered a drink. On a positive note the sandwich was good and was made quickly. If it had been served with fries and fountain drink per the menu I think it would of been worth the 10.65 I paid for it (includes tax). That said the sandwich was alone, they were unwilling to adjust the price or substitute with a difference, and ultimately forgot a third of my order. I will not be back.

Really great food read the reviews and decided to give a try. I recommend calling ahead and just let them know when you get there that our have a pickup order. Loved their deep fried mushrooms, my hubby got the onion rings they were good but over cooked.
