I tried the french toast and baileys' brownie. French toast was just grossly sweet. Filled with maple syrup and what not it was just like eating a soaked croissant. Would not recommend this. 1/5 Baileys' brownie was decent. 3/5. A bit high on the sweetness level for me but not bad. I went here for the waffle but as that was not available i tried these 2.

Disappointing! I have gone to Anderson's for probably 40 years. It is beautiful to sit outside and today was no exception in the beautiful fall sunshine. The tables extend way out into State Street. The problem was the pot pie was not hot. And even when warmed up in a microwave the crust was soggy. The latte was very small. And the price was very high. 60 for a pot pie and an omelet and a diet Coke and a latte! Ouch! Seems other reviewers agree!
Why should you visit The Andersen's? The best pastries in Southern California. Delicious food for breakfast lunch or dinner with very good prices. Family business that has been in Santa Barbara for over 30 years. A place I visit every trip to Santa Barbara
Andersen’s bakery selections are beyond exquisite. They can do any cake gluten free. And most of their desserts are gluten free already. Charlotte is the most accommodating with one of a kind selections and spectacular holiday deals. The decor gives you a homelike feel and their new store (next door) offers bottled recipes of yummy goodies and boxed baked goods to take home. Andersen’s is a Santa Barbara landmark in La Arcada Plaza. ️
This place is my new go-to for coffee, pastries and a good brunch. The dill and caper sauce they serve with the smoked salmon and poached eggs is to die for!! The staff there are lovely. The decor, music and style of this eatery feels like it belongs on Main Street USA in Disneyland.
