Great menu and lovely staff. Our food was very tasty and filling and was really pleased to see veg crisps with out baguette. We sat outside and said hello to the resident doggie

Totally splendid! Teeny tiny place centrally located right by York's great market. Dog friendly but is very small, spread across three floors, connected by spiral staircase. So if you bring your pooch there is limited space to sit, some outdoor seating at the front but this place gets busy and full - simply because it's great! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very polite. Superb sound track, enjoyed every minute. First floor is music themed and top floor, where the loo is, is film themed. Great quirky vibe. First floor bit more boHo and top floor is great for sitting amid the fab ancient beams and good view of market one side and of St Sampson's out the other side. If you are not so good on your legs you may struggle on the spiral staircase to access loo on top floor. Top notch cup of chocolate with the option of being served with cream and marshmallows. Cream and hot choccie was delicious, can't vouch for the marshmallows as they have gelatine in thus rendering them a no go for this vegetarian. And the chocolate fudge cookies are a divine delight. Satisfyingly thick and oh so tasty. And more-ish..... oopsadaisies. Is a definite on my circuit and very highly recommended.

Really nice interior with relaxed vibe and two themed floors. To eat I had a smoked salmon and prawn salad which was really tasty with a generous serving. Friendly staff and good prices in lovely location :)
