Given this place four stars as managed to find a bite to eat here during the night and the guy serving was really friendly and chatty. Seemed to know where we going which is good because we didn't have a scooby doo.. Just buggering about on a mystery tour of road works in the middle of the night...

We received shocking customer service from a girl working in Sandbach Whsmith. I was shocked she found her attitude was acceptable. She clearly was in a bad mood serving the gentleman in front with her scowling face and no manners. My partner gave her the items we were buying and my partner asked for a bag as it was an item of clothing. That was a roll of the eyes and threw us a bag. She asked if we wanted a receipt and he said yes please to which she tutted then slapped the receipt into my partners hand. My partner and I were looked at each other in amazement as we were appalled with her behaviour . My two girls don't behave like that at 6 and 7 so I certainly don't accept it from an adult!! We walked away in disbelief really. My partner works retail management so knows that this kind of behaviour is certainly frowned upon.

If I could give a 0 star I would. Staff have an appalling attitude. What should have been a simple transaction turned into a lengthy debate due to the mis-advertisment of the cost of an item we were trying to buy. They would not honour the cost and started trying to quote consumer law. Customer service lessons might be in order!
