Perfect place to enjoy views of Mallorca. You can drive all the way up with your car, but be prepared that the road is very twisty and during the night these bends can really surprise you, but when you get to the top it is really worth it. It is also possible to leave the car on the big parking place bellow the hill and walk up on foot using hiking route. You can see coast, inland from there and it is also great spot to watch sunset from. Be prepared that it can be very windy there and take it easy while you drive.

Amazing view. There is a restaurant and possibility of accommodation. There are places for barbecue what you can use for free in winter. You can use the parking under the hill or if you don’t feel for this trekking (or if you’re lazy as much as I am) you can use one of the parking spots on the top. Parking is free. Nice place to visit for watching sunsets. There is another statue of a cross nearby, but only few parking spots under this cross.

We were on a tour bus so enjoyed the hair raising journey up and down (we felt totally safe!). We met cyclists and walkers plus cars and bikers both ways and everyone squeezed past. There are toilets inside the monastery. Note there are no monks here, they moved out 25 years ago. Once inside there is a silver coin machine on the right hand wall where for a few euros you can enjoy a light show of the chapel and Richard Wagner! There is accommodation at the top and a breakfast bar for those guests, confusingly next to a cafe for day tourists. Mainly coffee soft drinks and a couple of pastries. Slightly brusque service. The views are amazing, see my pics

Well worth the windy road upwards. It is manageable. There are stunning views and a nice church. Each day at 12 noon they pray a short prayer the Angelus. For 2 euros(11 euro coins) you can also play a light and music show in the church. There is also a little souvenir shop in the church.

Amazing viewpoint. It is possible to drive to the Sanctuary but this is a wonderful place for a walk to the summit. There is a pathway or a forest trail. Either way is strenuous but rewarding!
