It's beautiful here and even without being able to go inside, a walk around the outside was really enjoyable. It's a nice place to see if you like California history of the many Missions.

Although we picked an incredibly hot day to tour the Mission it was beautiful and very interesting. The gift shop had a large variety of Catholic and non catholic items for children and adults.

This is a beautiful Basilica. Even better if you attend mass too. There is a number of statues and art everywhere. The grand alter area is quite stunning and well worth the visit for just that. Take the short tour after 11 a.m. mass on Sundays, it is fun and gives you so much information about the building and art.
