First time riding in a single engine plane. We came here to ride with a friend’s son who had just obtained his pilot license. This is an awesome airfield. Getting here was easy and the parking was even more convenient. Getting into the airport was a breeze as our friend is a flying club member with access code to the airfield. Once we were inside, our friend led us to the assigned plane for the ride. After pre-flight check, a jet fuel truck was called to refuel the plane. When all safety checks were done, we got on the plane and strapped on the seatbelts. Our friend’s son then started his check list for starting the plane. Once the engine’s started, we taxied to the runway. This airport has a lot of fly hobbyists here on this nice day. It was not too busy when we took off. Once we got on the runway, we were cleared to take off in a couple of minutes. The take off was very smooth with our Cessna and the feeling assenting into the San Diego sky was amazing. The altitude was only around 1200 feet and then descended to 500 feet into the Bay Area sky. Seeing La Jolla Shore and Sunset Cliff from the sky was spectacular. We filmed the strong waves hitting the shores and took many photos of the beaches and buildings below. This was our first time seeing San Diego from the sky above and gave us a great appreciate of the greatness of this city. After circling around the Bay Area and then crossed the Coronado bridge, we headed back to Montgomery Executive Airfield by going over the San Diego Airport. The landing was also very smooth. Since landed during sunset, we stayed a bit longer after our ride and got to see all the great planes parked in this airport. Today’s ride was great accompanied with perfect weather. Thanks to our friend for arranging this unforgettable airplane ride experience.

I live right on Tecolote canyon and I have Autism. With Autism I have really sensitive hearing and it is very hard for me to do my college homework even with ear plugs every day because the airplanes that take off and arrive from Montgomery airport tend to fly all day long and every day. I downloaded an app to help me track where the airplanes are coming from and where they are going. By the look of it 90% of the airplanes are coming from Montgomery airport and they tend to fly in circles then come back to the airport. I know people enjoy flying airplanes but come on save your money, gas, earth, and my hearing by flying a little less or at least far away from Claremont. Please I am begging you all
