Dr. Phelps did both of my knees last year. He is an Amazing Doctor/Surgeon and I’m Very Pleased. He also has a great personality and bedside manners. He takes passion in his profession and I Highly Recommend him for your Orthopedic needs. I also Compliment his Entire Staff for being so Kind and Helpful throughout the whole process. Very Highly Recommended!!!

I highly recommend Dr Phelps and Legent Hospital. From the date that I spoke with Dr Phelps PA (John) to the day of the surgery was approximately six week. I was nervous before the surgery and Dr Phelps talked to me and explained everything that was going to happen, he put me at ease before going into surgery. I had a anterior hip replacement in the morning of 1/18/2021. By the afternoon they had me up and walking, to my amazement, there was no pain in my hip - none at all. I was a little sore and stiff but nothing painful. Dr Phelps staff have been super and considering we are in the middle of the Covid pandemic, everything has gone better than I expected. I am now into my third week and very happy with the results and ready to return to work. I am recommending Dr Phelps and his staff to everyone that will listen.

Excellent doctor He is very attentive, very knowledgeable and very caring. I have had two knee replacements. Very good results. Great care from his staff. Also hospital he uses is excellent. I would recommend this doctor.

I would give Dr Phelps unlimited stars if that was an option. I had both knees replaced last year and the experience could not have been better! He was caring and attentive to all my concerns but most of all his skill and talent had me walking without assistance in 17 days. I went to my first follow up without any assistance. It has been a year this June that I had my last surgery and now I am unlimited in my activities. Dr.Phelps never pushed me, letting me decide. when I was ready. I was 79 at the time of my surgeries and was quite apprehensive but it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. It gave me back my normal active life. So these are the reasons I would prefer to give him unlimited stars! He sets the bar high for other surgeons in San Antonio or anywhere else. His staff is wonderful...a big plus!!
