Fish was very fresh and scampi delicious. Chips were dry. Staff are efficient and friendly. It appears very popular which ties in with my experience. We will be visiting Sammy's again. There is ample car parking just beside the shop.

The worst Fish Supper I have ever tasted or been. served. I am a Scottish national, who has experinced the best, and worst Fish Suppers. Sammys Fish & Chips served at 7pm on Fri 3rd of August, was a disgrace. The fish batter was unedible, having been laying for a longtime in the oven and not cooked fresh which was expected. I should have checked before leaving the shop, that was my mistake as I would never have accepted. The only reason I did not return, was that I also purchased a smoked sausage which was ok, and satisfied my hunger at the time. Sammys fish batter was absolutely awful, and does not reflect how properly cooked Scottish Fish & Chip shop battered fish should be cooked, and served.
We debated whether to call here on our way through fort william ,with the mixed reviews online but so glad we did. Friendly staff, really lovely haddock and chips! Will call again when we're next in the area
