We found everything fine. Lovely, family hotel, approx. 15 minutes from Salzburg, ideally located. Clean, smells good, quiet. It is not real information that the towel is perforated. It is not real information that the building is outdated and terrible. The rooms are cleaned every day, everything is clean and tidy. Breakfast is plentiful and dinner is a very delicious three-course meal. One problem is real: no wifi. This is no longer permissible in the twenties of the 21st century. You may be able to catch a weak and intermittent signal next to the front desk, but that’s not okay. It would be worth investing in a few routers.

Full disclosure: I did not stay at this guesthouse but was here for dinner. Starting with dinner then, it was a shambles of the drabbest food you can find in packets. Cold or lukewarm at best, if you looked closely at the food, you could virtually read the E-numbers. Service was inept and inexperienced (serving out 40 diners carrying two plates at a time; it takes a while). Complaining about the 'gespritzter Apfelsaft' being flat, we were told that if we didn't like it, we should leave it! As another review already pointed out, this place is a disgrace to Austrian guesthouses. As to the rooms, I can only comment on their appearance as we did not stay. Old and tired with decor and furniture that hails from the 70s or 80s. A bathroom so cramped the toilet must be angled between the shower and washbasin to even fit. Now you know why the pictures only show the bedroom part of the rooms. This place deserves none of its stars and if I could have written this review without even the one, I would have. It's sole saving grace is the proximity to Salzburg I would not stay here, even if I'd get paid to do so.
It is kind of horrible, the food is bad, everything is very old and it smells like a dead grandma combined with cow poop. Do not recommend!
The rooms were very clean. Meals are delicious and the portion is more than enough. Everything was fine. Wifi coverage is poor.

The owner everynight turn off the wifi. The wifi cover is not everywhere. Max in the first floor. The meals are very good. Rooms are clean and cosy.
