The aesthetic was beautiful, lovely atmosphere, and friendly staff but we were sat in the conference room next to this long counter that the waiters kept coming up to and grabbing stuff from, right behind my chair. The drinks were sub par, and for such a nice establishment we expected them to be perfect. We didn't drink our second round. Little things that threw me off about the meal: My drink came with a plastic straw. I had to put my own food in the to go box. The bread was awful and tasted too strongly of yeast. Everything felt a little rushed. We had 2 appetizers, 2 entres, 4 drinks, and we were only there for 30 minutes. It didn't feel worth the money, thankfully the waitress comped the drinks. She was very sweet and deserved the tip but the restaurant fell short. The manager didn't even come up to our table when hearing that we weren't satisfied with the meal. All in all, it felt like a 2 star restaurant in 5 star clothing.

Ten of us dined at the Saltine for our first time today for lunch. Everyone loved their meal. The she crab soup was incredible and the teriyaki beef melt was amazing. Our waitress Raven kept all of our drinks full and was very friendly. She had no problems customizing our orders and the food came out fast. Matt, the manager, personally visited our table to say hello and make sure everything was great. He served us a dessert that easily topped most desserts I have ever had. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of it. The atmosphere is also second to none. Obviously, no expense was spared when it comes to fine art and decor. The staff made us feel like both royalty and family. We will definitely be dining here again very soon and frequently. Thank you Raven, Matt, and staff for a great experience.

I’ve been for brunch and had my fair share of mimosas, but I have never been for dinner. Today I would like to say I enjoyed a fried snapper with a mule, that was seasoned to perfection. My waiter and Chef Darryl served me with delight and I was so excited about my whole experience. The simple menu and fresh ingredients are what make this establishment even more enjoyable and whomever is holding it down in the back is doing their thing along with the cooks. Superb food and a superb experience leaving me with nothing but excitement for the next trip. Thank you and God bless!

It is a warm and cozy atmosphere we enjoyed our meal although there were a couple of hiccups. Restaurant sent us an email that Restaurant week Norfork is starting and we made a booking accordingly for the advertised lunch menu only to find that the lunch menu for Norfolk Restaurant week doesn't exist or so we were told by our server. We were given the regular menu instead and were advised to order from there. I chose something from the brunch menu that had some ham in it and wanted to not eat pork so asked it to be replaced by someother protein which I was told is not an option. It was disappointing as such a big name and expensive restaurant should have more breakfast meat options that just pork ham and bacon. We ended up paying 75 dollars for a brunch for three people which was almost 100% higher then the advertised price. Avoid this place.

My friend and I visited Saltine for the first time with our friends and the food was amazing but our server really made our experience. She knew the menu well and was really on point with helping us select a wine that we really enjoyed! I would totally go back for the food and the experience with Leigh! I hope you’re as lucky as I am to have her as your server!
