Good restaurant with pleasant outdoor seating in center of town and next to one of the canals. The food is solid with a good mix of local specialties, pizzas and salads, though not exceptional, the service friendly and helpful. Overall pleasant.

We are from the region and ended up at the Salle des Gardes lunch time on Tuesday 11 August because we had to leave the next door restaurant because they were not respecting social distancing in the middle of Covid-19. The Salle des Gardes met all our needs. Social distancing was well respected. The food was great and the waitress and lady head of service were superb. Will surely be back. Thank you.

Α typical tourists restaurant in Annecy with great fondue and fantastic view in the river and prison castle. Good prices, friendly staff and nice red wine!!
Reasonably good food in the old town with large portions at fair prices. Salad and fish dishes are well done. Sirloin steak frites was tasty although the meat was somewhat over cooked. Warm and attentive service by the friendly waiter who was attending to the tables. Cozy ambience.
Great food, affordable prices and staff always on hand to help. Second time I’ve been and food was as great both times. Will definitely recommend!
