Salford Foodbank Reviews | Rating 4.7 out of 5 stars (4 reviews)

Salford Foodbank is located in Salford, United Kingdom on 4 Kansas Ave. Salford Foodbank is rated 4.7 out of 5 in the category charity in United Kingdom. Every day in Salford, people and families go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy, receiving an unexpected bill on a low income or those who have had benefits altered or stopped. As part of Freedom Central Manchester,  our Salford Central Foodbank operates in partnership with the Trussell Trust, providing emergency food parcels for people who are in crisis in this way.  Non –perishable food is donated by the public, which includes supermarket collections that are made in Salford and the surrounding areas. Each parcel given contains enough food to last for 3 days and is given to those who have been given a foodbank voucher by a front-line care professional.  We are currently working with over 80 agencies that hold our foodbank vouchers to provide the simple, practical gift of food and support at the point of crisis. To help clients become free from poverty, we signpost them to organisations that may be able to resolve the underlying problem.

I want to say thank you for helping me when I had nothing and no one to turn to. The help that you so kindly provided me went a long way. It's so embarrassing asking for sanitary ware at a food bank but thankfully I didn't have to ask it was offered to me I'm so greatfull for the help I've received. So thank you to all the staff and volunteers.

Poor Service, Rang up to try and make a food Donation for Easter Weekend 100's of food and was sadly told (by the 5th food bank I rang) that they also would be closed until Tuesday all weekend and when I questioned why during a busy charitable time of the year they would be closed? The cheek of the person on the phone to say ermm we need time off mate do YOU do any volunteering? sat on his high horse is absolutely laughable what does he think the homeless people do take some days off eating for a break what a PLEB no respect lost a donating company for life what a joke!!! Hope he feels the streets like others do daily!!!!
