Absolutely fantastic! I was seen within an hour, had an EGG, then blood test and a CT scan all done with results and on my way home within 4 hours. Fantastic staff and fantastic service and all free at the point of use. What would we do without our NHS? Good job!

Dropping mum off for day surgery. Best hospital by far in the Manchester area. Always very clean and tidy, inside and out. Staff are the best ever, super polite and very helpful and supportive to all patients and relatives.

I would like to call for an independent investigation into this dreadful hospital. Absolutely Atrocious. Doctors are unethical and unprofessional and defended by their own whitewashed \internal Investigations\. This hospital should be reported for an independent Investigation. I got called in for a cancer scare (on skin) and when I arrived, the doctor did not give me an inspection (which another doctor said is the normal procedure). Instead this doctor said I looked really anxious!!! I mean for Christ sake!! How would you react to possible cancer?!?! He started to diagnose me and said that he could refer me to his wife who treats mental health issues like anxiety. So instead of running diagnostic procedures for cancer he started to diagnose me with mental health issues despite not being trained professionally in this area of medicine. I raised this with the hospital admin and they basically said they didn't see any issue with the doctor's behaviour. This is despite other surgeons at the same hospital (and another private hospital) saying it was very abnormal behaviour. I asked not to see that particular doctor and then got a young hyperactive lady who was ok and knowledgeable. However on both occasions I had appointments with her, I heard her yapping away and laughing with her colleagues next door in their admin office for over 40 minutes while I waited in th Then when she came to see me, she said she was dealing with another patient! Salford really is lumbered with rejects in all public bodies.

My father Keith Havery 11/1/1938 was admitted to the hospital on 13/08/20 and spent the majority of his time on ward M3 where the care, compassion and professionalism were exemplary. My father has required the help of the NHS on many occasions, Stepping Hill, Wythenshaw, Macclesfield to name a few and neither of these have attained anything like the care my father received at Salford Royal Hospital. From the medical team, Dr Khan, Mr Hunter, Meghan the doctor from Betsy-Coed and Dr Haw and his team. From the ward M3; Gemma Coulter and Tony for their kind nature, support and care shown to both my father and family for which I will be forever grateful for. Jane Cosgrove for taking the time to make sure we were all looked after with tea, coffee and her lovely morning toast all delivered in her usual upbeat manner ready to start the day. Sandra Plimbley who voice my father always responded to and for keeping him clean and respectful. Big thanks to Jean Hickey and Sandra Ogden who were always on hand when needed. The night times were always difficult as my father seemed to get worse in the evenings but thanks to Tanya Todorova and Mel Casey he was always in good hands regularly popping in to check on him and make sure he was comfortable. I must also say thank you to Christine Taylor, Marisa Berrisford and Sophie Walker whilst we will always remember the care and compassion shown to my father and us all in the final moments of his life on 31st August 2020. God bless you all and a BIG THANKS from Barbara his wife and all my family. Alan Havery

A very efficient hospital with a modern and attractive building and grounds with good amenities inside, very clean and easy to navigate around. Helpful assistance to find your way around. Our appointment was with Consultant Dr Thomasson at Neurology/Neuropsychiatry and she was excellent, had well read the notes in advance, quickly understood the nature of the problem on explanation and was incredibly efficient, knowledgeable and supportive.
