Really friendly staff. Everything about my eye test was explained to me and I was even able to view images of my eyes. Thorough examination conducted in a very professional and friendly manner

Had a annual eye check here the staff are helpfull and frendly and have your records on computer after a few checks to make sure you are the right person. you are invited to wait in the small instore waiting area which is not very big. There are rooms upstairs that are only accessible by stairs. The lower floor is also a retail sales area for frame and contact lenses information so can be busy at times. No parking space at the store but a council run carpark is at the back of the building get a ticket pay n display or the market Square carpark is available when the market is not on the site

Sometimes this store can leave a bitter taste, just awful. After spending almost 500 on glasses I was handed them at the door, having refused them saying I want to try them on first which wasn’t unreasonable. “Oh but you have requested express collection” Nope but even if I did I still want to try them on, oh and shock they did need adjusting! Staff need training in not only customer service but manners, one in particular just plain rude and ignorant!

Took my 90 year old father here for an eye test. He is very deaf, but the optician was amazingly patient with him, speaking slowly and very clearly she made sure he understood her questions and gave appropriate responses. She also explained, in simple terms that he would understand easily, what could be done to help him and what the timescales would be. He was very reassured as he thought he was losing his sight, but this is not the case and he is now looking forward to the next steps in his treatment. A really positive experience for both of us, it couldn't have been better.
