St Ives is a small fishing port on the west coast of the UK located in Cornwall region. On the old times the fish industry was very important for the town and it was one of the most busy ports on the UK. However, this came to an end in 1924 and the volume of the catch was exported to Italy. The town found another way of making profit due to tourism. Holidaymakers choose St Ives due to its sand beaches. St Ives due to its located has normally the most warm summers on Britain. Is therefore a popular resort in the summmer. Personally, I think its a charming town due to its narrow streets and the beauty of the harbour. St Ives is also very attractive due to artists from overseas. You will find many galleries dedicated to pottery and painting. It is marvallous place which is really worthy to visit if you are in Cornwall. Dont miss it out!
