Very nice church. One of the best churches in all of Lebanon. It has very beautiful paintings on the roof. I hope that It was not badly damaged from the Beirut Explosion.

Nice little church with lots of history to it and good views overlooking Roman ruins and other landmarks of town.
This church will surprise you in many ways. It's an eighteenth century church that was built on top of a much earlier one from the 4th century. The much older church had been forgotten for hundreds of years, but a bombardment that took place during the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990) unveiled the ancient church when a bomb bore a hole through the newer church's floor. It is possible to visit the older church during the day through a separate entrance to the left of the newer church's main door.
Church with old original icons and paintings Preserved and guarded. Very humbling prayer environment. A place to visit and admire.
Sat inside the church overwhelmed and astonished by its grandeur.
