I regularly go to Emmaüs to leave my unused clothes books stuff... The compagnons d’Emmaüs are super nice and helpful. Large choice of pretty much everything. Don’t hesitate to stay long to get nice bargains. I wish there could be another Emmaüs south of Montpellier though.
Huge place, some items a bit tatty but great bargains to be had, and always good to be reusing not just buying new. There at different hangars: furniture, crockery, books, clothes, toys even doors and windows. You get a slip from the staff to reserve it, then you have to go to the central cashier to pay before you can collect.
Well organised, household goods and furniture are separated into different zones. But, we found the choice rather limited. Huge parking.
Emmaus sells used (donated) items--ranging from flat-out junk to cribs, from books to wedding gowns. I almost always bring visitors there. It's great for kitsch, and for real stuff for furnishing a home. Some days there's nothing, some days there are real finds.. All purchases support the work of Emmaus for homeless adults. funny hours .. check ahead
Well worth a visit....regularly....to not only get some bargains but help a very worthwhile charitable organisation.
People are very nice, you're gonna find what you want inside, it's so big that it's a little village.
