Fruit, veg and meat so very fresh. Very good supermarket. Good quality clothes. Friendly and helpful staff. I have used this supermarket since it came to Grantham. I would recommend Sainsbury's highly.

This is my main supermarket. Mostly I can find everything but just lately the odd few things they do not stock anymore. But they are now have a better range of clothes for all the family but we have lost the coffee shop which is a shame.
Check-out was frustrating. Only two aisles were open and queues of 3 or 4 customers queued at both. The cashier whose booth l waited for got into involved conversation with a customer while we patiently waited. Once that customer left the same thing happened with the next customer. Now people in the queue started shaking their heads in disbelief and muttering under their breath. Eventually the person in front of me was served and she moved to the front of the booth to pack her goods. At that point l moved to the 2-metre position behind her, only to be rudely reprimanded by the cashier. I replied that l was observing a 2-metre distance and she disputed it. I invited her to come and check the 'foot-mark' signs on the floor which indicated the 2-metre distance, and she would see that l was standing directly on one, while the other person was on the far side of the next one. This she declined to do. At this point l decided to complain to her about the extended conversations she had while a queue of people waited to be served. She replied that it was necessary to engage socially with regular customers, or they wouldn't come back. I asked her if she thought the customers who waited far longer than necessary to be served would also come to the store again. That received no answer. Not my best experience in a Sainsburys store.
Really good and uber friendly staff.
