A good sized Sainsbury's with a nice cafe upstairs and a big car park. Has pretty much everything you need from home, clothing, groceries and some electricals. Situated a stone throw away from the centre it is very easy to get to but if you are driving on the one way system can be a bit of a pain. Inside it has a good layout and there are plenty of toilets and disabled access leading upstairs to the cafe including a lift. Stopped in the cafe a few times after shopping which is a good size, always clean and has a nice view over the river with the big glass windows. Food is priced quite low but is generally decent quality with a small menu of things to pick from.
Was disappointed today with fresh counter service. I've ordered chicken thighs portion but was distracted with my two year old. So the sales lady took advantage by putting pieces that nobody would buy if they saw the qualify. Shame i can't put pictures here and shame on the sale person taking advantage of parents.
Excellent on Covid policy. Friendly & helpful staff.
It's the only major supermarket in Lancaster city centre, what do you want me to say? Five Stars.
