The friendliest, warmest and kindest people - we'd been walking for hours and were looking for refreshment. Not only did they open up to give us some water, but the mother of the owner gave us a lift back to where we were staying because she was worried it was too far. The most amazing people and we look forward coming to the Sailor's Return when it's open again.

Delicious food and great staff. We were delighted to be treated so nicely by the staff while ordering and tried to cater for my daughter’s food allergies by answering all of our questions. The food was well done and splendidly paired. We ordered the pies and pints specials on Wednesday. There is a lot of parking in the area and it was very easy to make reservations.
Excellent small pub in an out of the way small village. Friendly and atmospheric. Most people probably visit for the gourmet food but also serves a favourite Otter ale. You probably ned to book up to a week ahead as very popular and limited space inside.
Excellent grasp of the Covid 19 protocol. Very welcoming staff very professional. Draft beer very well kept. Food was excellent.
Fantastic pub! Service couldn't have been better, completely on point. Food and drinks excellent. Lovely garden. Can't go wrong
