I don’t usually eat Indian food, but the chicken tikka was amazing. I couldn’t stop eating until I was completely full. The spices were just perfect. I highly recommend trying it out!! Also very clean Thanks a lot!

So glad I ended up here on a cold winter night when every other place was closed. Exceptionally clean dining area( dine-in was closed..I was just waiting for my take out order) & friendly staff. I ordered lamb seekh kebab. They were tender, juicy and with just the perfect amount of spice.

Let me start off by saying the food here is great. However and unfortunately for Saffon, customer service is equally important when considering a restaurant. The woman who handles the phones on the weekends (Sunday in particular) apparently hasn’t a clue what customer service is. During what should have been a simple call to inform them that they failed to include several items listed and added to our meals, this woman chose to immediately raise her voice and get defensive before we were able to clearly inform her her of our issue. She began to rudely point out that the items requested needed to asked for yet when we attempted to inform her that they were her tone increased even more and she continued justifying nothing. When she finally got tired of apparently hearing herself speak, we told her that the items were listed and included with the order but didn’t matter. She arrogantly said and concluding by saying that she’ll “include them in the next order.” Quite frankly why she would assume that we would continue giving her our business is beyond my comprehension. There are several Indian Restaurants in Astoria within their delivery range, Tikka Indian Grill and Namaste both on 30th aves just came to mind as and they both treat their customers with reciprocated respect. Yes, Saffron has good Indian Food. I can’t say whether or not Saffron as a business doesn’t give a damn about their customers but I can say that if they do this woman shouldn’t be communicating with them. Durning a time when restaurants are hurting because of the pandemic we try our best to support the restaurants we appreciate as much as we can however our support isn’t mandatory. I hope you guys read this review, make some changes and train your staff to at MINIMUM reciprocate the respect shown to them by your customers. Good night.

Ordered a chicken tikki masala and a Aloo Muttur Gobi...both dishes came with very watery like they just threw the ingredients in there and poured some boiled water on top. Other than a little spice, not much flavor. I couldn’t even finish a bite of this food. And usually I eat the entire plate (from a much better restaurant on 30th Ave—go there instead). Only added a star because they were so fast in getting the food out for delivery...but it seems like they worked too quickly and sacrificed quality. See pics of our food (chicken and cauliflower respectively) swimming in orange colored water.
